Ann's Mulled Cider Recipe


Great for Autumn and Winter Evenings - make this quick and easy warming drink. You can substitute flavourings, but here is what I used to serve 2 people


Pour 1 can of Cider into 2 mugs and top up with Apple juice (cloudy is best but regular will do) and a slug of Sloe Gin (you could use brandy or other spirit)

Empty into a saucepan and bring to a simmer with some spices (I added 4 cloves, a star anise and a stick of cinnamon - use what you have in the cupboard) plus fruit if you like eg an orange cut into chunks or a couple of strips of orange peel)

Add brown sugar to taste and serve

Enjoy!
