Virtual classes are streamed live from my home to yours via Zoom
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. The studio is for max 7 or 8 students (max 4 during the Covid pandemic) so it is vital to book ahead and secure a place. Virtual class bookings are limited to 24 so that I can see all your thumbnails on one screen. Bookings are via Bookwhen.com/annsyogalounge or click through via one of the Book Now buttons on this site. All classes can be booked a couple of weeks in advance. If a class is full, there will be a red 'no entry' sign next to it on the schedule. However, you can put yourself on the waiting list and if another student cancels or transfers their place you will be sent an email notifying you that a space has become available. You have 30 minutes exclusive access to book before an email is automatically sent to the next person on the waiting list. After that time, the place can be booked by anyone if it is still available, including you if you missed your 30 minute exclusive window. Can I book a block of classes?
Yes, classes can be booked singly or you can save money and purchase a class pass of 5 or 10 sessions. You can pick and mix classes - you are not tied to a particular day or time. These passes are valid for 180 days (6 months). Family members (or friends) can share a pass
Virtual classes currently cost less than face to face ones and can be purchased singly or as a 30-day pass
New for 2021 passes are valid for both Zoom and Studio places. Note that you only need to buy 1 virtual class per household and class recordings are included free in this package :)
NB: When you put a pass in your basket you must also book at least one class at the same time - but you do not have to book all sessions at once.
How do I pay and how can I cancel or transfer a booking?
You can pay for single classes or class passes on the Bookwhen site at time of booking via Stripe, or you can bring cash on the day, or transfer the money to our account:

Tickets can be cancelled or transferred by you up to 24 hours before start of class through your email confirmation or reminder email with the use going back onto your pass (if you have one) for another time. Just find your email and 'ticket option' and from there you can select cancel or transfer. If you need to cancel with less than 24 hours notice though, your ticket will be lost. If you pay for a single class through Stripe and need to cancel that, the money will be credited back to your Bookwhen account to use another time, provided the cancellation is outside the no-cancellation window. Sometimes I am able to offer you a replacement class that week if there are still vacancies. Do enquire about refunds - these can be arranged with a small percentage taken off by Stripe for the transaction. If there are any issues or other questions I can help with, do give me a shout.
Are your classes suitable for beginners?
Yes. Most of our students have started as beginners. The gentlest classes are the Relax and Recharge Sunday afternoon sessions. The Tuesday night Yin classes are also slow and mindful and floor-based (no bobbing up and down in sun salutations!). Beginners are welcome to come to any of the other weekday or evening classes, although the Dynamic class may not be suitable at first as this is fast paced. Perhaps try a class recording that you can play at home and see how you get on. If you are unsure which class would be most suitable for you, just give us a shout, and we will be happy to help
Do you offer private tuition?
Yes, I offer private classes at the Yoga Lounge at £40 per session (75 minutes to include tuition plus time to discuss your requirements) with a coffee and chat afterwards if you have time.
You could share this class with a friend or family member. These sessions are tailored to your needs at a time to suit you and I will also provide you with a recorded guided meditation and a sample class to follow at home
They are useful if you are busy and my regular schedule does not fit your diary. You might be a total beginner and wish to learn the basics before attending a regular class. Maybe you are new to exercise and a bit body conscious. Perhaps you are looking for some quality 'me time'. I am also offering a package of Yoga Nidra (guided meditation or Yogic Sleep) tailored especially for you. You will receive consultation, 3 one to one Yoga Nidra sessions with feedback time, further resources, and audio files for you to keep. Special price £30

What do I need to bring/wear?
Wear comfy layers. eg leggings, T-shirt and jumper. You will probably start and finish class with a jumper and socks on and remove these part way through.
If you remember, a bottle of water is a good idea.
You are encouraged to have your own mat and props such as a block, strap and blanket if you'd like to use them. A bolster is also a wonderful addition - we have a full stock of equipment but have had to pare this down due to Covid-19 and the difficulty of sanitising certain items. Give us a shout if you would like recommendations for purchasing your own equipment. If you are practising at home you can improvise with household items too!
